Dan, Fred,Wyon Complete Season
Two results, Dan beating Kevin on Sunday and Wyon beating first season champion Fred on Tuesday, saw Fred, Wyon and Dan all completing their first seasons in the Oxford Backgammon league. With Fred already confirmed as champion there remains a race for second place between Tony and Ben although Ben's path to the success is narrow relying on Tony losing, him winning and Kevin completing all of his matches before the August 31st deadline.
Amanda Calls It In From The Carribbean
An unexpected international result was reported from the Carribben where Amanda Maguire, flying the flag for Inglaterra, called in a 3-2 victory over México. This looks like Oxford Backgammon's first tentative steps onto the international stage. Amanda's participation in the forthcoming World Championship in Monte Carlo remains unconfirmed at time of writing...
