Sunday Afternoon Tournaments are being trialled from September 2025. The first will be held on Sunday 14th September from 1pm, upstairs at the Slow and Steady, 38 Abingdon Road, OX1 4PD

Format

Main (7pts) and Consolation (5pts), both single elimination knockout

Nb Minimum 2 matches guaranteed - all Main first match losers entered into Consolation

Entry £10

Prize split: 45/25/20/10

(Main winner/Main runner up/Consolation winner/Consolation runner up)

E.g. £144/80/64/32 based on 32 players

Optional side pools :

Main: £20 & £10 (70/30 1st&2nd)

Consolation: £10 & £5 (70/30 1st&2nd) - refundable if not entered into consolation

Friendly Sunday Afternoon Backgammon Tournament open to all.

Played according UKBGF Rules. Clocks maybe required for some matches in the event of slow play. Clock settings 2 mins/point (vs trailing score) & 12 secs/roll.
